Honoring Dr Martin Luther King, Jr

| Read Our Blog Read Our Blog Blog Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Fredrick Hairston January 14, 2015 Training, Uncategorized, Workforce 0 The Martin Luther King, Jr. vacation celebrates the life and legacy of a man who sowed the seeds of hope and healing in America. He dreamed of a vibrant, multiracial nation united in justice, peace, and reconciliation. As we replicate on Dr. King, what he fought for, and what many others proceed to fight for, we all know that though the battle is far from over, a step in the best direction is being cognizant of the truth that we all have items, strengths, and contributions to make for the greater good. Most people are acquainted with Dr. King’s famous ‘March on Washington.’ However, many individuals might not know that the march was formally named, ‘March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom.’ Much of Dr. King’s writings include the theme of job creation and job equality. Dr. King had a significant impact, socially and economically, on the future of policy change and jobs for all Americans. As someone who works in the Workforce Development industry, I continue to encounter people from all walks of life, backgrounds, and expertise, who've a lot to offer to others, including future employers. We obtain a lot more after we set aside perceived differences and obstacles and open ourselves as much as others who are completely different from us and consciously select to work together to satisfy shared goals. Keep this in mind as you go about your days, right now and the rest of your life. Peace be with you. Your e-mail handle won't be revealed.
